Bus parts for mci, prevost, van hool, eagle, goshen, gms, neoplan, dina, gillig, lag, irizar, setra, and detroit diesel are available sometimes but not always. Never buy a bus for which you have not determined your source for repair and replacement parts. If you can't find a supplier in a month then you probably will never find that part. Many are surprised when they see attractive $30,000+ used buses sitting idle and don't realize it is often due to replacement parts problems.

Finding the right bus parts can be time consuming and difficult. The best way to find good suppliers is by using the ads on this page, staying in touch with your local dealer (this can be an expensive place for parts), and retrofitting or using household items as replacement parts.

Used bus parts for the major brands are available for even 30 to 40 year old units. More obscure brands, those made in foreign countries and imported, and models with short production spans can present major problems however. Parts availability issues are one of the reasons you sometimes see beautiful $20,000 - $40,000 buses sitting idle.

These are huge complicated machines depending on the proper functioning of thousands of used parts. Be sure you have at least TWO sources for parts lined up BEFORE buying any used motorcoach.

Finding a direct source for motorcoach parts, supplies, and accessories for your MCI, Prevost, Bluebird, Van Hool, Setra, Goshen, Eagle, has never been more convenient. Simply search the extensive online catalogs for the part you need, order online using secure order forms, and your parts ship directly to you.

For instance, our super high quality commercial grade convection microwave died after 14 years. No stores carried this size microwave in the convection version, convection means you can cook like an oven. We ended up searching ebay and buying a replacement used microwave. When it arrived, and after paying $50 for shipping, we see it is the wrong size, and that it was not a convection.

A month, five phone calls, and ten emails later, we returned that microwave and got another one in. The second microwave was great but it was much larger than it should have been. We spent four hours rebuilding the cabinet and retrofitting the oversize microwave convection. Big hassle and a lot of work.

Once, we used a $20 faucet from Home Depot for our bathroom sink. We thought we got off cheap only to discover the faucet couldn't handle the wierd and varied kinds of water from all the different sources all over the country in different campgrounds. It only lasted a short while. Keep in mind that many household parts from hardware stores are not as high quality and are often not the right size for use in a bus. Many times it pays to just order from an on-line internet based bus parts store. You can also contact your manufacturer if your bus is older and they will often have hard-to-find items you can purchase on a one-by-one basis.
